A number of technological companies and organizations have joined the Code of Ethics in the field of artificial intelligence developed by the Alliance in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). The official ceremony of joining new participants to the Code was held on Wednesday, on November 10, during the largest Russian conference on the artificial intelligence AI Journey, organized by the Sber, on the “Laws of the Future 2.0” section. The Code has accepted the company “VIZHN LABS”, “NOSEMENTICS” LABORATORY, COGNITIVE PILOT, VEB VENTURES, MDG Group of Companies, Software Systems Systems, MSTU. N.E. Bauman.
The Code of Ethics was opened to signature on October 26. The first signators were Sber, Yandex, MTS, VK, Gazprom Neft and the Russian Foundation for direct investment (RDII). Subsequently, a number of market players are sent to the address of the Alliance on accession to the Code and committed themselves to follow the rules and requirements established in it. To date, the Code has taken about 30 companies and organizations.
The Code of Ethics proclaims a human-oriented and humanistic approach in developing technologies, the principles of non-discrimination, safety of working with data and information security, identifying AI in communicating with man and respect for the autonomy of the will of the person, responsibility for the consequences of the use of AI. The commitment of the Code of Ethics will be a key element of social responsibility of companies developing and implementing AI technologies in Russia.
It is planned that the Code of Ethics in the field of artificial intelligence will be a recommendatory document on ethics for all participants of the II market: states, business, Russian and foreign developers. The Code establishes general ethical principles and standards of conduct that participants in the field of artificial intelligence can be guided.
As a tool for the implementation of the aforementioned principles and provisions, the Code provides for the creation of the National Commission on Ethics, the appointment of Ethics Commissioners, as well as the possibility of creating collegial sectoral ethics bodies. The Alliance will also develop guidelines for the best practices of solving the emergence of ethical issues in the life cycle.
