First head of the company “Information satellite systems” named after academician M.F. Reshetnyova “(part of the state corporation” Roskosmos “) was born in 1924 in a small Ukrainian village, a specialized education received at the Moscow Aviation Institute. During the distribution, he got to Sergey Pavlovich Korolev in OKB-1 (now – Name Rocket and Space Corporation named after S.P. Korolev), and at 35 years He headed the branch of OKB-1 in Zheleznogorsk.
Mikhail Fedorovich Reshetnyov gathered around himself a team of like-minded people and enthusiasts and in the shortest possible time – just five years after the establishment of the enterprise – implemented a project to create and launch space-3 missiles with three satellites “Strela-1” on board .
For nearly 37 years, under the leadership of the RESTEROVA, more than 1,000 communication spacecraft, television broadcasting, navigation, relaying and geodesy were created, all types of orbits were mastered, the first international contract in the field of satellite-building on the production of the SESAT device was enclosed.
The success of the Siberian enterprise says the fact that in 1970-80 80% of satellites worked in space were made in Zheleznogorsk. And now the reshets hold a high bar – 2/3 of the Russian orbital group consists of Siberian spacecraft.
Mikhail Fedorovich Reshetnyov – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR / RAS.
