Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that xenophobia in relation to the Russian-speaking population of Kazakhstan became the effect of the impact of external forces that they want to make a discord between Moscow and Nur-Sultan. “Unfortunately, recently we witnessed a number of resonant manifestations of xenophobia against Russian-speaking citizens of Kazakhstan. Some cases are largely a product of the use of special information techniques,” the minister said.
He stressed that this way the townsalism and discredit of cooperation with Russia are planned. However, such actions, according to Lavrov, quickly stopped, due to strong bilateral relations between countries.
“According to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian language is endowed with the status of official and is used on a par with Kazakh. I see a huge plus for Kazakhstan’s youth, connecting your life and work with Russia,” added the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
