The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia criticized the creation of a military alliance between the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom (Aukus), indicating the threat that a new partnership is accurates in the Asia-Pacific region (APR). This was announced at the briefing of the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharov, the broadcast is available on the Youtube channel RT.
According to the diplomat, the US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland in Moscow, it was stated that Aukus threatens to “undermine the current security architecture” in the APR. Zakharova stressed that a certain partnership for the United States, Britain and Australia also carries risks for the international non-proliferation regime.
