Chinese Spaceship “Shenzhou-13” docked with an orbital station

Chinese Spaceship “Shenzhou-13” successfully docked with the main module of the National Orbital Station. This was reported by TASS with reference to the management of the program of manned space flights of the PRC.

As reported in the management, the spacecraft with three taikonauts on board completed the dock after about seven hours after the launch from the Jusuan cosmodrome in the north of China. Now the cosmonauts will officially begin the work on the maintenance of the station under construction, on which the next six months will stay. During this time, they will perform up to three exits in open space, and will also hold a number of scientific experiments.

The deployment of the Chinese modular orbital station Tiangong began in 2021 from the start of the TIANHE base module. Structurally, which up to 2023 should get Wentian and Mengtian modules, reminds the reduced Soviet-Russian “world”. Tiangong will be able to visit up to three taikonauts. The expected service life of the space station, which will be the third multi-module orbital, – ten years with the possibility of extension for another five.
