Lukashenko proposed to use experience of Union State for Integration of CIS

In conditions of gaining momentum of the world’s economic crisis, the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) should unite efforts to protect their interests in the global market. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State, BelTA reports.

According to him, to strengthen the role of the CIS in the world, the Commonwealth member countries need to deepen integration in all directions. The politician added that the experience of creating an allied state can be used at the heart of this process.

“In the current conditions, the experience of the Allied State can again speak by the locomotive of integration processes, offering for the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union – approx.” Renta.ru “) and the CIS The best developments,” Lukashenko stressed. He noted that this would be a real contribution to the harmonization of Eurasia economic consolidation and the formation of a large Eurasian partnership.

The head of state also recalled about the sanctions of Western countries against Belarus and pointed out that all markets in the world have long been divided. This provision, in his opinion, indicates the need to deepen the cooperation of the CIS countries.

October 7, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on Belarus, which called on the European Union (EU) to introduce a fifth package of sanctions against the republic against the background of the aggravation of the migration crisis at the borders of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.

The document contains proposals on the inclusion in the package of economic sanctions of the metallurgical, woodworking and chemical sectors. Also in the European Parliament noted that new restrictions should touch all state banks and key industrial enterprises, including Belaruscalia and Beltelecom.
