In Russian stores showed a lack of personnel

Russian retailers have encountered an acute deficit of personnel, including shop administrators and cashiers. Reports about it “Kommersant”.

Trading networks associate this with a number of factors, among which the outflow of migrants due to the coronavirus pandemic, the demographic Age of the 1990s, as well as the transition of personnel to the scope of online trade. In particular, one of the networks of grocery supermarkets is equipped with employees from 65 to 92 percent, depending on the region.

The current situation led to the fact that retailers began to raise wages to employees, introduce a flexible schedule and reduce penalties.

October 5 reported that Russian Railways has exceeded the plan for September to set the workers and attracted 16 thousand people to the expansion of the Baikal-Amur highway. Reconstruction, which is considered one of the main Russian megaprojects, now does not interfere with the problem of personnel shortage.

In September, the Commissioner for Entrepreneurs under the President of Russia Boris Titov said that Russian retirees could solve the problem of lack of foreign labor. According to him, those want to work and are ready to replace migrants, but do not make it, because they fear to lose the indexation of pensions. “They will lose benefits, their pensions will not be indexed. It takes people to go out,” said Titov. Indexing will bring out of the shadows of many pensioners, the Ombudsman believes.
