Economist rated consequences of non-working days for Russian economy

The Russian economy has restored and has already entered the dailyemic levels, the current indicators are enough to postpone the non-working weekend from October 30 to November 7 without damage, the economist Marcel Salikhov believes. In a conversation with “ribbon.ru,” he noted that certain damage will be, but it will not affect the results of the fourth quarter.

Vice Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova previously proposed to enter from October 30 to November 7, non-working days. At the same time, for a number of regions, Golikova believes, it is necessary to provide non-working days from October 23. With the relevant initiative, it intends to turn to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Minor damage

Salikhov believes that certain damage to the economy will not be avoided. It concerns this first of all costs for employers who are forced to continue paying the salary of non-working employees.

“But in reality, many employers simply ignore such prescriptions and continue to work further, especially in the informal sector of the economy, which we have quite developed,” the economist noted. – In any case, I would not say that the blow will be especially painful. The economy is now growing well, stabilization has occurred in recent months. Now we have come out at Dopandamemic Levels, so there is a small slowdown. The damage, of course, will, but not so that it has even affected the results of the fourth quarter. “
