US President Joe Biden at a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Berlin must fulfill the promises that Kiev were given in connection with the construction of the North Stream-2 gas pipeline. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the White House.
According to politics, it is necessary to ensure that Russia “will not be able to manipulate the streams of natural gas in malicious political purposes.”
Earlier, the Ministry of Economy of the Federal Republic of Germany sent to the Federal Network Agency (regulating authority) to certify the North Stream-2 gas pipeline. The agency did not see threats in the Russian pipeline and recognized that it would not be dangerous for the gas supply of Germany and the European Union. The FRG regulator will continue to analyze the correspondence of the “Northern Flow-2” legal regulations of the International Association. Presumably, the certification of the Russian gas pipeline will take about three months.
