Lavrov reminded importance of approval of WHO Russian vaccines

It is necessary to include Russian vaccines from COVID-19 into the list of drugs that the World Health Organization (WHO) will be able to recommend for use in emergency mode. This was reminded by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov at a meeting with the general director of WHO Tedros by Adano Greesus, who passed within the G20 summit, reports TASS.

According to him, Russia supported WHO in maintaining the main role in the field of health care, as well as strengthening the capacity of the organization during the pandemic period. In this case, it is important that WHO can use Russian vaccines in a state of emergency in the fight against infection, and for this it is necessary to include Russian drugs in a special list.

Earlier at the first working meeting of the G20 Summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin appreciated the deadlines for the end of the Pandemic COVID-19. He suggested that Coronavirus will still be a danger to people for a long time. For this reason, it is important to work out the mechanisms of system and operational updates of vaccines.
