Kosmonauts Roscosmos – Participants in All-Russian Census 2021

Roscosmos Cosmonauts Anton Sluffers and Peter Dubrov, who at the moment on board the International Space Station, took part in the All-Russian Census of the Population. Russian crew members of the 66th Long Expedition answered questions from Rosstat, for which the Center for Flight Management TsNIIMASH (Korolev, a Communication Session was organized.

They also appealed to all residents of Russia with a call to participate in this event important for the country, specifying that now it can be done in the Internet portal of public services of the Russian Federation.

“The wealth of Russia is, first of all, our people, and the census is a kind of snapshot of the entire population of our Motherland. This is the opportunity to see the country in all its beautiful cultural, ethnic and language diversity,” said the astronaut Roscosmos Peter Dubrov .

Russia is the only country in the world in which cosmonauts are rewritten at the near-earth orbit. For the first time, cosmonauts data were collected during the 2002 census. Then the cosmonauts of Valery Korzun, Sergey Treshchev and Fedor Yurchikhin, took part in it.

All-Russian Population Census – an event that is held throughout the Russian Federation for a single state statistical methodology in order to obtain

summarized demographic, economic and social information. The main stage of the census takes place from October 15 to November 14, 2021.
