The Independent Commission on Incestant and Sexual Violence against Children (CIIVISE) told in his report on tens of thousands of victims of children in France. According to the material, in the republic, 22 thousand children are exposed to sexual violence from its fathers.
According to the human rights organization, in 2020, only 1697 pedophiles were punished for incestual rape. In 2018, 760 criminals received punishment. At the same time, only for the month from September 21 to October 27, the Commission received more than 5 thousand testimonial statements about bloodsminding rape.
“These data allow us to assume that the number of fathers attracted to responsibility for incestuous sexual violence, much less than the number of victims,” said CIIVISE report. According to the results of the study, the Commission recommended applying for insests to the police even if it is just suspicions, suspected parental rights during court proceedings and deprive the parental rights of people who were accused of rape of their children.
On April 17, the National Assembly of France decided that any sexual contact with a person under 15 years old on the part of an adult is raped by rape automatically. Earlier, criminal punishment could follow only in the case of proven coercion of a child to sex.
The Independent Commission on ESP and sexual violence against children was established by the President of France by Emmanuel Macron in January 2021. Its tasks include preventing sexual violence, protecting the victims and the struggle with impunity of criminals.
