A man attacked relatives, set fire to house and committed suicide in Austria

Armed with a 23-year-old man attacked the house of his relatives in the city of Mittersoffling in Upper Austria, two people suffered. The Austrian Print Agency (APA) writes about this with reference to the police statement.

The attack occurred about 1:30 local time in the house where the criminal himself lived with his girlfriend and an elderly relative. The man pounced on the girl and inflicted her about 40 knife wounds. She was able to escape by jumping out of the window on the first floor. Neighbors came to the rescue: it was to the first thing that was finished wounded. They rendered her first help and called emergency services.

At this time, the criminal rose the house and ran toward one of the highway, where she committed with him.

53-year-old woman, who at that time slept at home, saved firefighters: both women in the hospital, their lives threaten nothing. Firemen managed to put out the fire in the house.

Investigators exclude a political or religious motive in the actions of the criminal.
