During protests in Sudan, more than 100 people were injured

During protests against the military coup in the capital, Sudan Khartouume killed seven people, another 140 were injured when the soldiers opened fire to disperse demonstrators. This reports Reuters.

Young people who opposed the arrest of the members of the transitional government, barricaded the street and entered into a collision with troops. In support of protesters, the strike was announced by the staff of the Central Bank of Sudan. Also, the civilian government was supported in the town of Omdurman in neighboring Khartoum, where the protesters also erected barricades.

On October 25, the International Troika on the settlement in Sudan as part of the United States, Great Britain and Norway called on the military to free the members of the Provisional Government and expressed concern about the situation. The UN Security Council announced a closed session on the situation in Sudan, which will be held on October 26 at 23:00 Moscow time.

On October 25, the military from the Sovereign Council were arrested by Prime Minister Sudan Abdalla Humduka. In addition to him, four ministers were detained, as well as the Governor Khartoum Ayman Nimir and the representative of the Sovereign Council of Mohammed Al-Faki. In response, supporters of the Civil Government went on protests in Khartoum.
