The most consumed drugs in Russia during the period of coronavirus pandemic steel ceftriaxone and azithromycin, as well as paracetamol. RIA Novosti reported this in the press service of the development of promising technologies with reference to the data of the marking system “honest sign”.
Ceftriaxone became the most popular and selling medicine. Residents of Russia acquired 32 million packages from August 2020. The second for the demand of Russians was the antipyretic agent – paracetamol. It was purchased 31 million packages. In third place was azithromycin, it was sold 12 million packages.
The top ten also includes arbidol (sold 11 million packages), dexamethasone, amoxyclav, cefotaxim (5 million packs), amoxicill and elixis (4 million), levofloxacin (more than 3 million).
Earlier, Chinese scientists reported that the drug hydroxychloroquine is not only not effective against coronavirus, but is dangerous and able to harm the body by provoking the appearance of side effects.
