Accounts Chamber revealed amount of child care benefits in 2022

From February 1, 2022, the minimum amount of care benefits for the first child will increase by 5.8 percent and will be 7,493 rubles. This is reported by TASS with reference to the conclusion of the Accounts Chamber (SP) “On the budget of the Social Insurance Fund for the Russian Federation for 2022 and on the planning period of 2023-2024.”

also grows the maximum amount of benefits for the care of the first child – the amount will be 31,282 rubles. Currently, the minimum payment amount is 7,083 rubles, the maximum – 29,600 rubles. In total, 169.5 billion rubles will be allocated to these goals from the budget.

In addition, from February 1, 2022, a one-time allowance is indexed at the birth of a child. It also grows by 5.8 percent and will be 19,981 rubles instead of 18,886 rubles.

In July, Russian President Vladimir Putin expanded the age limit of one-time assistance for schoolchildren’s families. At a meeting with members of the government, he instructed to issue 10 thousand rubles in the current year even if the children went to school at six years, and not seven.
