In Russian Foreign Ministry made aggravation of relations with United States

Moscow allows for further exacerbation of relations between Russia and the United States, if additional efforts are made to normalize. About this RIA Novosti stated the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergey Ryabkov.

Speaking about the meeting with the US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland Ryabkov said that “not the fact that a breakthrough, but no progress.” At the same time, he did not rule out the freezing of the work of dipms of Russia and the United States, but Moscow would like to avoid such a scenario.

Ryabkov also said that it was not possible to achieve progress on the functioning of dipms and problems with the issuance of visas, however, the parties plan new advice on this topic and “according to some segments of bilateral relations, in addition to visas and work of climbing.” At the same time, the diplomat did not specify what directions can we talk about.

Earlier, Ryabkov shared his impressions from the conversation with the US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland. According to him, the conversation with a diplomat from the USA turned out “extremely frank”. He noted that “Americans do not listen to our logic, to our requirements.” At the same time, the conversation was “useful”, added deputy minister.

US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland flew to Moscow on October 11th. On October 12, she met with the Deputy Foreign Ministry of Russia Sergey Ryabkov, diplomats discussed issues of strategic stability and prospects for continuing work in this area.

Following the meeting, the deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that Moscow recalled the unacceptability of the US military presence in Central Asian countries. He also pointed out that during the negotiations with Nuland, Russia’s concern was expressed in connection with the new Aukus Alliance (Australia, United Kingdom, USA) in the context of non-proliferation regimes of nuclear weapons.
