Serbia will ask for help from Russia due to gas rise in Europe

Serbia President Alexander Vucić decided to ask for help from the Russian leader Vladimir Putin because of a sharp rise in price of gas in Europe. This politician stated during the European Union Summit (EU) – Western Balkans, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the Serbian president, the European Union states are alarmed by an impending energy crisis. “Gaza price is today $ 1900 for 1000 cubic meters. These are abnormal prices, it is impossible to withstand them. Our price is still $ 270,” he indicated.

Vucić said that he intended to meet on October 7 with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov. “Give him a personal message for Vladimir Putin, who will ask you to help us with this question,” the Serbian leader stressed.

Gas prices in Europe at the bidding on October 6 approached the mark of $ 2,000 per thousand cubic meters. Saxo Bank experts believe that the launch of the “Northern Flood-2” would help to reduce prices. If the upcoming winter is cold, and gas supplies will not increase, Europe is waiting for “gloomy and expensive time.”
