Japan supported creation of Aukus Military Alliance

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kisida supported the creation of a military alliance between Britain, Australia and the United States (Aukus) for the sake of upholding the common interests of the parties in the Indo-Pacific region. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

Head of the Cabinet in a conversation with Australian colleague Scott Morrison expressed approval to the partnership. Kisida stressed the importance of the Union’s prisoner against the background of unacceptable attempts by some countries one-way change the status quo in the region. The parties also touched upon the topic of expanding cooperation.

The new Military Alliance Aukus was created against the background of the growth of tension between Western countries and China. Beijing declares that a significant part of international waters in the Pacific belongs to the PRC. We are talking about controversial waters in Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and others. The Chinese government is making measures to enhance the control over the sea routes through which world trade takes place.
