High gas prices in Britain launched a bankruptcy wave

The global energy crisis launched a wave of bankruptcies among British energy suppliers. Another three companies – Igloo Energy Supply, Enstroga and Symbio Energy – announced closure, writes Bloomberg.

Representatives of IgLoo argue that the company’s work is no longer possible under the current conditions of the energy retail market due to the “incredibly high gas prices”. According to the regulatory body on energy issues of Great Britain ofGEM, together these three suppliers served about one percent of buyers in the market.

Since the beginning of August, five utilities has already stopped in the country. Because of this, about 1.7 million customers during this time were forced to change the supplier.
