In the United States reported the first case of coronavirus in the country at home ferret – it was revealed in Florida. This is stated on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture of the country, RIA Novosti reports.
The ministry reported that the ferret had symptoms of the disease – the animal coughed and sneezed. Doctors took the individuals of biological samples that confirmed the presence of COVID-19 in the body.
There also clarified that, according to alleged data, ferret became infected with a person from a person.
Earlier in the United States began vaccination of animals in zoos from COVID-19. They were assumed to the drug Zoetis as prevention – it was approved in the Ministry of Agriculture. The zoo staff will observe the status of animals after vaccination.
