Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarthto spoke about the timing of the possible meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. His words report RIA Novosti.
According to Siyarthto, the Hungarian side is working on the holding of a summit with Russia this year. “We are ready, and ultimately it depends on the situation with the pandemic and the decision of the president [Putin] – whether he will be ready to receive guests,” he said. At the same time, the head of the MID of Hungary made that the prospect of meeting in December is real.
At the end of August, Hungary and Russia agreed on the new multi-year agreement on the supply of Russian gas. It is designed for 15 years with the possibility of changing the volume of gas purchases in 10 years. According to agreements, Gazprom will supply 4.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Hungary
