Apple has released a sudden update for rare phones. It is reported by the Edition 9TO5MAC.
Update under the name iOS 12.5.5 Designed for old iPhone and iPad models. According to the company engineers, the update includes “noticeable corrections” and improving security. Installing the update is recommended for all users of smartphones and tablets.
Update is available for iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad Mini 2 and iPad Mini 3, as well as for iPod Touch 6th generation. All devices described do not support iOS 13, which came out in 2019. In particular, the iPhone 5S was presented in 2013. The company does not release new functions for old smartphones, but from time to time it sends security patches on them.
To update the gadget, you need to go to the appropriate section in the smartphone settings, tablet or player and start the installation.
