Novikov noted that the United States is developing technologies that can enable quick blows for any purpose anywhere in the world. “This is primarily orbital unmanned vessels X-37,” said the head of the concern.
According to him, the official role of the X-37 is scientific research. The first flight of the orbital apparatus committed in 2010. Today, the United States has a park in several X-37 devices.
“But we understand that they can perform the functions of nuclear warboards. The United States is planning a further increase in the number of such devices in space. This is a serious challenge,” said Novikov.
Previously, Popular Mechanics edition wrote that the only existing modification of the X-37B mini-shuttle is not intended to carry nuclear weapons. The author of the material noted that low load capacity will not allow to take more than three bombs with W80 warheads.
