The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Ministry) confirmed the meeting in Kabul of the Russian Special Representative of Zamira Kabulov with Taliban (a terrorist movement prohibited in Russia). This was announced at the briefing the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharov, the correspondent “Renta.ru” reports.
According to the diplomat, the ministry cannot give a detailed message on the basis of the meeting with the Taliban, until all contacts are completed. “As for the meeting in Kabul, the Special Representative of the President of Russia for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, takes part in it,” Zakharov added.
Earlier, UrDupoint reported that the Acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan Hasan Ahund met with the Messengers of Russia, China and Pakistan.
