In the course of the teachings “West-2021”, the Russian army worked out the possibility of applying a nuclear strike on NATO troops in Poland, writes Defence Blog, referring to an unnamed source.
The interlocutor accused Russia in “Modeling Cottages in the event of a large-scale war with the United States and their allies on NATO.” “As part of the teachings, the Tu-22m3 bombers simulated an attack on the structure of the American military command in Poland,” the publication reports.
Defence Blog notes that during the exercise, firing from 203-millimeter self-propelled guns 2C7M “Malka” were carried out. “Its main task is shooting with nuclear artillery shells,” the publication says.
In September, during the teachings “West-2021”, the Russian military first applied combat robots “Uran-9” and “Nerekhta” in combat orders of international units.
In June “Business Online”, referring to the source in the airflower, wrote that the Kazan Aviation Plant (Kaz) named after Sergei Gorbunova was planned to complete the assembly of the strategic missilers-bombers Tu-22m3.
The joint strategic teachings of Russia and Belarus “West-2021” were held from 10 to 15 September.
