South Command of the US Department of Defense on September 18 published a congratulation dedicated to the Day of the Foundation of the American Air Force (Air Force). Twitter deposits posted a drawing with airplanes, which turned out to be Russian SU-27 fighters. This is reported by Izvestia.
Pilots congratulated on the official office of the department – there posted an image with the signature: “Happy Birthday, US Air Force!”. Above the inscription you can see three silhouettes of fighters in which Russian Su-27 is guessed.
The US Air Force was formed as a separate genus of troops on September 18, 1947. Prior to this, the air force was part of the US Army.
Fourth-generation SU-27 fighter made the first flight in 1977, and since 1985, the operation of the aircraft began. SU-27 modifications are one of the main aircraft of the air-space forces of the Russian Federation. The peculiarity of the aircraft was the characteristic glider, which causes ultra-supersayness of the SU-27 family.
