Russia created a bottom drone

During the International Military Technical Forum “Army-2021” Concern “Marine underwater weapon – hydropribor” presented an underwater drone, created for the study of the seabed, reports TASS.

“The autonomous carrier of hydrophysical equipment of the buoyancy variable (ANGAPP) is used in the lighting systems of the situation, exploration and radio-electronic combat in the underwater environment as a carrier of various equipment in accordance with the task being performed,” is noted in the product description.

According to the Deputy General Designer of the Concern Mikhail Kettueva, there is no own engine in the hangap, and the drone moves due to a change in buoyancy. “The speed of movement in the space is small, but taking into account the fact that it can work for a long time if you translate into numbers that are clear for us, then it is a half kilometer per hour. Dive depth is up to 300 meters,” said specialist.

Angapp is able to go offline swimming for three months. As a load can use, in particular, the chamber, magnetometers and hydrolytators. “You can use to search for min. Bottom mines are usually hidden, styling and do not represent anything during an inspection, except underwater stone,” cettime clarified.

Also during the “Army-2021” Concern “Marine Underwater Weapon – Hydropribor” showed the station “Lighthouse 2014”, capable of detecting swimmers for a distance of up to 500 meters.

In June, the Nuclear Submarine “Belgorod” of the project 09852, which should become a carrier of the nuclear torpedo “Poseidon”, first reached the factory running tests in the White Sea.
