The French network Auchan has reduced the number of supermarkets in Russia for the first half of 2021. It is reported by RBC.
During this time, the Russian representation closed 17 points. Now ELO GROUP (previously called Auchan Holding) has 236 stores “Auchan” in Russia. Of these, 95 are hypermarkets and 143 – supermarkets.
In 2020, Auchan numbered 212 supermarkets in Russia. This means that over the year their number has decreased by 32.5%. Some of them changed the status on urban format hypermarkets with smaller areas “Auchan City”.
