United Kingdom threatened Taliban sanctions

UK Foreign Minister Dominic Raab in his article For The Sunday Telegraph threatened to introduce sanctions against the Radical Movement of the Taliban (a terrorist organization, prohibited in Russia), if the militants after August 31 will not be allowed to leave Afghanistan to all citizens who do not want to live under their power. According to Raaba, London is ready to apply financial sanctions against the Taliban, if they do not provide “safe movement” for those who want to leave Afghanistan after August 31, when Western countries will complete the evacuation operation from Kabul from their citizens and helped them residents.

British Foreign Minister stressed that this United Kingdom intends to “use all the funds available at its disposal, and is also ready to cooperate on this issue with Russia and China. At the same time, London reserves the right to apply sanctions against the Taliban as unilaterally and within the framework of UN mechanisms.

Earlier, the UK Ministry of Defense reported that the last aircraft with the servicemen of the royal army flew out of the Aroport of Kabul. Thus, the United Kingdom completed the evacuation of its subjects from Afghanistan. Earlier on August 28, the kingdom was taken out of all civilians from the country. According to the Ministry of Defense, there were about a thousand British military in Kabul, who over the past two weeks have helped evacuate 15 thousand people.

On August 15, the Taliban announced the establishment of control throughout Afghanistan. Currently, the country’s management is under the Provisional Council, which will later give the power of the Taliban. After the government’s shift occurred, hundreds of Afghans went to Kabul Airport for flight from the country.
