General Director of the Keldysh Research Center, which is part of Roskosmos, Vladimir Koshlavkov spoke about the tests of the latest technology for the disposal of particularly hazardous waste of the municipal sector and waste production with plascript. His words leads TASS.
Koshlavkov reported that in the center developed plasma torches and are now working on the creation of a special installation, which will make it possible to neutralize and dispose of aggressive household waste of increased danger.
Plasmaons allow to obtain gases, the temperature of which ranges from four to five thousand degrees Celsius. As a rule, they are used in the rocket industry, but they can also be applied when burning garbage. In addition, gases allocated during combustion are proposed to use plasma torch turbine to rotate.
Conversations about the use of plasma torches for incineration of waste is carried out for almost a year. In September 2020, Koshlavkov said that the company is negotiating on the introduction of such technologies with the authorities of Nizhny Novgorod.
