In a possible war with Russia and China, the United States has little chance of victory. Such an opinion was expressed by an ex-assistant to US Secretary of State on European and Eurasian Affairs Aaron Mitchell in The National Interest magazine.
“In essence, America will be forced to fight with armies that use the resources of Half Eurasia. Such a war overwhelms the forces of the American army, and maybe even completely exhaust them,” the chances of winning the United States appreciated the political analyst.
He doubted whether the United States would exist in the case of a nuclear conflict. Mitchell came to the conclusion that the main task of Washington should be the prevention of war on two fronts, with China and Russia.
Political analyst noted that since 2018, the national strategy of the country is focused on conducting war with the most efficient opponent – China.
Previously the former Assistant Minister of Defense of the United States Elbridge Colby stated that the United States should prepare for war with China if Beijing decides to capture Taiwan. According to Colby, the prospects for the US-Chinese war due to Taiwan are becoming increasingly obvious, since the PRC increases military power in the region.
