Former President of Moldova declared about leaving politics

Former president of Moldova and the leader of the Communist Party (PCRM), Vladimir Voronin announced care from politics. It is reported by Eurasia Daily.

Politician refused to nominate his candidacy for the post of chairman of the party and noted that his predecessor will be elected at the nearest traffic convention.

“maybe it will be done online, but we will immediately spend the party congress this year. Because more than a year has passed since my authority has expired,” Voronin said.

Vladimir Voronin held the post of head of the Moldavian Communist Party 27 years. In May 2021, he celebrated his 80th anniversary. After past early parliamentary elections in July, he headed the block of the left forces, which also entered the Socialist Party headed by Ex-President Igor Dodon.
