Red Hat established team for development of EPEL repository

Red Hat announced About creating a separate team which will oversee the activities associated with the EPEL repository accompaniment. The team is set to not replace the community, but to organize its continuous support, as well as ensure the readiness of EPEL to the next significant issue of RHEL. The team is formed as part of the CPE group (Community Platform Engineering), which is maintaining infrastructure to develop and publish releases Fedora and CentOS.

Recall that the project EPEL (Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux) is engaged in maintaining the repository of additional packages for RHEL and CENTOS. Through EPEL, users of distributions compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux are offered an additional set of packages from Fedora Linux supported by Fedora and CentOS communities. Binary assemblies are manufactured for X86_64, AARCH64, PPC64LE and S390X architectures.
