Successfully completed testing of the system “messenger” on board atomic icebreaker “50 years of victory.” From January to August 2021, the “messenger” ship station was installed on an atomication that was in autonomous swimming in the North Sea Pool. The tests were conducted to demonstrate the possibilities of the Racing system for the transfer of navigation messages in northern latitudes, including extreme, because Part of the navigation was made by a vessel in the area of the North Pole.
During all eight months of testing of the ship station “The Racing” failures in the work of the equipment was not recorded. Mounting fasteners, housing and antenna-feeder terminal device completely retained waterproof and mechanical integrity. The icebreaker coordinates were formed in automatic mode every 10 minutes using a navigation receiver embedded in the ship station. According to experts who conducted tests, the “messenger” system showed itself as a reliable data transfer tool in arctic latitudes. Communication sessions successfully passed under all weather conditions and on all latitudinal marks, including the area of the North Pole, which confirms the potential for using the Racing system in the Arctic region, including all the length of the Northern Sea Route.
