United States has declared conditions for mitigation against Taliban

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called the conditions for mitigating sanctions against the Taliban (terrorist movement, prohibited in Russia). It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“As you know, Taliban is seeking softening sanctions, as well as the possibilities for their leaders to travel freely, which in the conditions of existing sanctions they cannot do,” said Blinken. According to him, Washington does not see the prospects for mitigating sanctions against the Taliban, if they violate the last resolution of UN Security Council, limiting the freedom of movement of residents of Afghanistan.

On August 30, UN Security Council adopted the United Kingdom resolution, France and the United States, which calls on the Taliban to provide free and safe departure for Afghans and foreigners from Afghanistan. The resolution voted 13 countries, Russia and China abstained.
