Russia thought about supply of humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan

Moscow thought about to engage in the supply of humanitarian aid to Kabul, now this issue is being worked out at the highest level. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharov, RIA Novosti quotes it.

“Call the international community to the adoption of effective measures to prevent the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan,” the diplomat added.

The UN Secretary General Anthony Guterresh was the same appeal. In his opinion, the Member States of the Organization should help the residents of Afghanistan and provide modern and comprehensive financing, since the humanitarian catastrophe in the country takes a threatening scale. According to Guterris, today Humanitarian Aid is needed by almost half of the total population of Afghanistan – this is 18 million people.

August 15 “Taliban” (terrorist movement, prohibited in Russia) announced the establishment of control over the entire territory of Afghanistan. After that, hundreds of residents of the country tried to leave, seriously fearing for their safety.
