According to him, the last efforts of security talibans in Afghanistan brought results and they established full control over the region, which was the “last stronghold of mercenaries.” Mujahid also noted that some rebels were defeated in battles, while others fled. At the same time, the representative of the Taliban assured that the inhabitants of Panjscher will not oppress.
Earlier, the Taliban movement rejected the proposal of the leader of the resistance front in Afghanistan Ahmad Masud about the possible armistice. According to the statement by the representative of the political office of the Taliban, the movement is nothing to negotiate with Masud after he rejected the proposal about the world.
On September 4, the Taliban already stated to establish control over Panjsher. The offensive “Taliban” began from 2 to 3 September, after the failure of negotiations with Masud.
