Taliban asked to help with neutralizing mines

Militants of the Taliban movement (prohibited in Russia) asked to help with neutralizing the mines that they laid earlier. This was announced by the head of the UN Group of Demining in Afghanistan, Paul Hamslop in an interview with CNN TV channel.

We are talking about improvised explosive devices scattered in Afghanistan for 20 years of war. In the near future, the Hedelop must have a conversation with the leaders of the Taliban, to clarify, at what points of the country they need help. According to Heslop, now in Afghanistan employs approximately 40 percent of the composition of his group, but he wants to expand the presence of up to 80 or 90 percent.

The head of the demining group transmitted that various explosive devices are laid throughout the country. Among them are unexploded artillery shells and rockets.

Earlier, the press secretary of Taliban Zabilella Mujahid said that the rebels in Panjsheter were crushed, and the war in Afghanistan is over. In response, the fighters of the forces of national resistance declared partisan war to terrorists.
