The number of died as a result of an earthquake on Haiti, which occurred on August 14, increased and amounted to 2248 people. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Office of Civil Protection of the Republic.
According to the department, 12,763 people were injured as a result of a natural disaster. Another 329 people are missing missing. More than 53,000 buildings in the region are completely destroyed, more than 83 thousand – partially.
On August 14, the shutdown of Gaiti was recorded an earthquake of a magnitude of 7.2 points. The earthquake occurred at 15 hours 29 minutes Moscow time. The epicenter of the underground jolts was located in eight kilometers north of the Petit-de Nipo settlement, and the hearth climbed at a depth of ten kilometers.
