Russia: expanded list of claimed professions

Russia Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on expanding the list of professions and specialties of secondary vocational education, which will contribute to the accelerated development and modernization of the country’s economy. This is reported on the office of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the decree, 55 specialties and 35 professions were added to the updated list, including in the field of robotics, logistics, medicine, agriculture, construction, tourism, social sphere and service sector.

Among the specific specialties added to the list, presented therapeutic business, “Operation of unmanned aviation systems”, “agrosety”, and among professions, for example, the “graphic designer” and “model-model-modeling details”.

The document notes that students in these areas can count on scholarships of the Russian government. These payments are appointed annually for achievements in educational, research and development activities as an additional encouragement.

The last time the document on the professions and specialties of secondary vocational education for the implementation of priority areas of modernization and the technological development of the Russian economy was adopted in 2014. Then the list includes information technology, mechanical engineering and nuclear technology.
