According to Ambassador of Qatar in Afghanistan Said Bin Mubarak Al-Hayarina, at the moment there are repair work at the Kabul International Airport. “A group of specialists has prepared an airport for receiving civil flights in the near future,” the ambassador noted. It is specified that two flights have already been launched from Hamid Karzai Airport in Kabul – in Mazar-Sharif and Kandahar. The runway was renovated in collaboration with the authorities of Afghanistan.

Also, the airport is preparing for making flights with humanitarian aid. According to the television channel, the United Nations Humanitarian Work (UN) will be financed by the US Congress. The head of UN Anthony Guterrish is going to Geneva, to convene the conference at the highest level on Assistance to Afghanistan.
