Press Secretary of the White House, Jen Psaki, appreciated the possibility of recognizing the United States of the Taliban movement (prohibited in Russia) as legitimate power in Afghanistan. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Psaki noted that the “Taliban” will have to “do a lot” for this. At the same time, according to her, in Washington, it is believed that the movement in no way deserves respect in the eyes of the world community. She also recalled that the Temporary Government formed by the Taliban includes four members of the organization, who were previously serving a sentence in prison.
