Taliban Wanted to prohibit Afghan women sports games

The militants of the radical movement “Taliban” (banned in Russia a terrorist organization) wanted to ban Afghan women to play cricket and other sports. It is reported by RIA Novosti, citing the deputy head of the Commission on Culture in the Taliban Government Akhmadulla Vasik.

The representative of the movement indicated the lack of need to allow women to play cricket. According to him, during the game they may face the situation when the body and face will not be covered. “Islam does not allow women to look like that,” he clarified.

Vas concluded that the government of Afghanistan do not allow women to play sports because of the revealing clothing. “In the era of the media, women players can get into photos and videos that will be the property of many unfamiliar people,” he stressed.

Earlier, a resident of Kabul and a fighter for women’s rights choirs Khorshid told about the manifestations of “Taliban” sexism against the female part of the population of Afghanistan. According to her, the Taliban remain radicals that are completely not considered with the rights of local citizens. The choir noted that Afghan women are going to continue to protest, despite the danger threatening.
