The Chinese Embassy in Washington called on Auukus countries (Australia, United Kingdom, USA) to get rid of thinking and ideological prejudices of the Cold War. Such a statement was made in response to the announcement of Washington, London and Canberra on creating a defense partnership in the Indo-Pacific region, reports Reuters with reference to the representative of the Embassy Liu Pengy.
Diplomat expressed the opinion that countries should not create exceptional blocks, the purpose of which is to damage the third states.
Auukus’s tripartite partnership, the creation of which announced the leaders of the three states earlier declared during the joint press conference, implies the transfer of Australia to the construction of atomic submarines. Neuuu less, the Australian authorities assured that the country is still committed to fulfilling all its obligations as a state that does not possess nuclear weapons.
The goal of the partnership is reportedly to simplify the exchange of information and technological innovations in the field of artificial intelligence, cybernetic and underwater systems, as well as in countering China.
