Moscow and Cairo reached a fundamental understanding of payments to families whose relatives died as a result of the terrorist attack with the Russian board A321 over Sinai in 2015. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry of Maria Zakharov, her words are given in publication on the department website.
She stressed that during the negotiations of Egypt and Moscow on the specified issue, special attention was paid to material payments. In addition, diplomats supported a permanent connection with the relatives of the victims and in particular with the File 9268 charitable foundation.
“As a result of the efforts made by the Russian Embassy in Cairo, it was possible to enter a fundamental understanding with Egyptian partners on this issue,” Zakharov explained.
