Mayor of Masatoshi Isigaki disappointed a deed of citizens. “I am deeply outraged by this malicious act of some heartless people who left the hooligan inscription on the monument,” he said.
At the same time, the official noted that the bridge is a symbol of the “future return of the islands”, which “all Japanese are waiting.”
Earlier, the Government of Japan made the report of Russia in connection with the plans for the introduction of a special tax regime in the Kuril Islands. According to the Secretary General of the Japanese government, Katsunobu Kato, such a decision of the Russian authorities contradicts Tokyo’s position on smokers, as well as the essence of the discussions of joint economic activity, which was carried out until this point.
