Eight people died in crash of passenger ship in China

In the Chinese city of Lupanshui in the southwest of the country, a passenger vessel turned over, transported people on the Baipanjiang River. At least eight people died, seven seven are missing. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the statement of the local government.

The incident occurred on Saturday, September 18 at 16:40 local time (11:50 Moscow time). It is reported that the boat that transported people was designed for 40 passengers. According to preliminary data, rescuers managed to extract 31 people from water. Eight of them were taken to the hospital, but doctors could not save them. The fate of still seven passengers is unknown.
