President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko appointed new ambassadors in Tajikistan, Brazil and Korea. The meeting also attended the Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the country, Vladimir Makay, transfers BelTA.
Diplomatic missions in Dushanbe, Brazil and Seoul will be headed by Victor Denisenko, Sergey Lukashevich and Andrei Chernetsky. When appointing the Belarusian leader, referring to the head of the Foreign Ministry, noted the importance of a thorough selection of candidates for ambassadors. He explained that in the conditions of sanctions and pressure of the West, the country cannot afford to make mistakes in the diplomatic sphere.
During the meeting, Lukashenko also told what tasks face new ambassadors. The President noted that today it is extremely important for Belarus to strengthen trade and economic cooperation with various countries, including Brazil and Korea. As for Tajikistan, Lukashenko emphasized personal friendships with the President of the Republic of Emomali Rakhmon. “We have practically no secrets from each other. Therefore, you will be, on this side, it is easy to work,” he turned to Denisenko.
Earlier, Lukashenko repeatedly spoke of an important role of diplomats and warned them from betrayal. He explained that the ambassadors represent the country and the President, and therefore, unconditionally support the policies of the Belarusian leadership. At the same time, he pointed out that in Belarus “will not ceremony” with diplomats, traitors who are not justified by expectations.
