Preparation of a carrier missile continues on Baikonur to piloted launch

On the Baikonur cosmodrome continues the preparation of the Soyuz-2.1a carrier missile to the upcoming piloted start. On Thursday, September 16, 2021, a package “Package” (first and second steps) was performed on the workplace for the pneumatic tests of blocks “b” and “g” carrier missiles.

All technological operations are performed by specialists of the South Space Center (branch of the center of exploitation of the objects of ground-based space infrastructure) and the Progress Rocket and Space Center (Roscosmos State Corporation) in the installation and test area of ​​the site No. 31. The next stage of preparation – Conducting pneumatic tests of blocks “A”, “B”, “D” and the third stage of the rocket (products 14c54).

Start of the Soyuz-2.1A carrier missile with a transport piloted ship “Union MS-19” is scheduled for October 5, 2021 from the starting complex “East” of the Baikonur cosmodrome.
